Born in Bukovina, Romania in 1934

Member of the Israeli Painters and Sculptors Association since 1957

1941-1944: Survived the Holocaust in Transnistria, Ukraine

1946-1947: Studied painting in Bucharest under a well-known professor and later, in the studio of the sculptor Ben Zvi at the Detention Camp in Cyprus

1948-1952: Accepted to the Avni Studio as a lithograph apprentice

1952-1955: Studied at the Avni Institute with famous teachers: Marcel Janco, Streichman, Steimatzky, Zahara Shatz, and Moshe Mokadi

1959: Did a comprehensive tour in European capitals, during which he met with the COBRA group (European avant-garde movement: Copenhagen (Co), Brussels (Br), Amsterdam (A))
